The name says it all. This was one piece that I just let go where it led me. No sketches, or plans. I worked on this sculpture for about a year.
The way I work is to have a number of pieces going at any given time. Since all of my large works get annealed many times time is not a factor. On a piece like this I'll sit in on my working shelve and contemplate for as long as needed, then add the next component and re-anneal.
