This piece was about the birth of our son Spencer. We adopted him at birth and it was a very magical experience that led to quite a few pieces from both Cheryl and I. This piece is important to me because it is one of the works Cheryl and I collaborated on. To create a work of art with another artist is a big deal, working with egos and the such. To create a work of art with the person you live with is a super big deal. Cheryl is probably the most creative person I know, and without a doubt the most technically precise artist I have ever met. The times I have had the honor to work with her are the best times as an artist I have had.
